International City Dubai

International City, as its name advocates, is a true melting pot of the diverse nationalities and cultures that lend Dubai its contemporary, cosmopolitan air. International City is divided into nine distinct residential districts, with low-rise blocks offering studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments and constructed to provide over 60,000 people with a reasonable living experience.

Neatly interlace various elements of different cultures into a single society. The architectural styles of Russia, Italy, Spain, England, France, Morocco, Persia, Greece and China are all represented.

The structure of International City is further improved by the range of business activities, retail opportunities and tourist attractions that complement the residential offering. Spreading over a vast 800-hectare plot, this development has produced considerable interest from many investors including retail giants, multinational companies and real estate developers.

The neighboring DragonMart Complex is considered the largest trading core for Sino products outside mainland China. Another neighboring development will be the Dubai Design Centre, which aims to become a one-stop destination for everything in the world of design and interiors. Al Warsan Lake offers unparalleled chance for wildlife observation and particularly recreated Forbidden City will ensure all the mystery and wonder of this ancient imperial palace is on strike to captivate us today.

  1. In a place where not long ago there was nothing, you can find now (i) Burj Dubai, the tallest building in the world to be, when construction finished, (ii) Burj-al-Arab, the most expensive hotel in the world and one of the visual symbols of the city, (iii) as well as an impressive number of skyscrapers. Overall, the architecture may lack the cultural heritage appeal of European cities such as Barcelona or Paris. However, I believe it is an amazing display of what will and money can create in short period of time. So this is not so much about history and culture, but about modernity and daring projects.
